Our Company History

Sac EDM has a long and distinguished history as a leading EDM and CNC machining company. Below we have listed some of the events that have taken us to where we are today.

• 1978 -- Acquired a small tabletop EDM machine to manufacture tooling for in-house jewelry manufacturing.
  
  
• 1982 -- Sacramento EDM was formed to supply "outside" EDM services to local machine shops and OEM manufactures.
  
  
• 1984 -- First Wire EDM was installed.
  
  
• 1985 -- Second Wire EDM was installed.
  
  
• 1992 -- Business was relocated to a 1500 sq. ft. facility. Third Wire EDM installed. New conventional EDM Added.
  
  
• 1996 -- Relocated to 4000 sq. ft. facility. Fourth Wire EDM and Second Conventional EDM machines were added.
  
  
• 1997 -- Sac EDM becomes a California "C" Corporation. Additional Wire & Conventional EDM machines added. Added high speed EDM hole drilling machine.
  
  
• 1998 -- Acquired an additional 4000 sq. ft. of production area at current location. Added additional EDM machines and a full CNC machine shop.
  
  
• 2002 -- Installed first large abrasive Waterjet machine installed.
